Water Released From Nizamsagar Project

Nizamabad: Water was released from the Nizamsagar project on Wednesday for Yasangi (rabi) crops grown in the area under irrigation. Irrigation department officials said 1,200 cusecs of water have been released from the main canal as part of the fourth phase of supply.

Authorities advised residents, farmers and cattlemen living near the canals to exercise caution and avoid entering the canal or approaching its banks. Officials of the Nizamsagar project appealed to the public to cooperate for the sake of safety.
