Water supply problem affects both terminals at Gatwick Airport

Paul Lee, a passenger at the airport, told the BBC he had not heard any announcements about the issue or seen bottled water being distributed.
He said: “This is not a good thing for people who need to go to the toilet and there is still no announcement or official information and the water they are talking about is not being distributed.
“I’m taking off soon, which is a good thing, but in a few hours this will be bad for the passengers.”
Lee added that restaurants and lounges are closed, but stores are open.
Michael Dugher, former MP and former CEO of UK Music, called on social media for the airport to “at least allow people to use chairs in all indoor restaurants and bars”.
Dugher, who was recently appointed as the UK government’s first “music champion”, said: “It’s one thing to have no water, it’s another to leave people without a place to sit… families are being forced to sit on the floor.”
Citizens going to the airport for a flight were advised not to arrive early.
In the statement made by Easyjet, the following statements were made: “Due to the water supply problem affecting London Gatwick Airport, baggage claim desks are temporarily opened two hours before departure instead of three hours.”
The airline said: “Please do not arrive earlier as you will not be able to drop off your luggage or enter the departure lounge until baggage claim opens.”
