Water supply to be disrupted in city wards

The Kerala Water Authority (KWA) said water supply to many neighborhoods in the city will be disrupted for several days after a major pipeline leak was detected near Ambalamukku Junction. KWA stated that the leak was located in the 900 mm prestressed concrete pipeline, adding that repairs were ongoing.

Water supply to the following districts will be completely cut off by March 17 and partially by March 23: Kazhakootam, Chandavila, Kattayikonam, Sreekaryam, Cheruvaickal, Chellamanglam, Chempazhanthi, Powdikonam, Njandoorkonam, Sainik School, Chenkottukonam, Karyavattam, Pangappara, Pallithura, Attipra, Pundkadavu, Akkulam, Kulathur, Alathara, Kuzhivila, Kesavadasapuram, Edavakkode, Pattom, Ulloor and Muttada.

KWA asked consumers to take necessary precautions.
