For those who don’t know, Ghuman passed away after suffering a heart attack in Amritsar. According to his manager Yadvinder Singh, the actor complained of shoulder pain and was admitted to a private hospital, where he later suffered a heart attack. His nephew Amanjyot Singh Ghuman confirmed the news to reporters in Jalandhar. Ghuman was known as the vegetarian bodybuilder of India.
In 2009, he won the title of Mr India and placed second in the Mr Asia contest. Over the years, he has left his mark on both Hindi and Punjabi films. In 2023, he shared screen space with Salman Khan in Tiger 3 and also starred in Roar, Tigers of Sundarbans in 2014 and Punjabi hit Kabaddi once again in 2012. Condolences poured in from the political and cinema communities.
Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu called him the pride of Punjab and said his death was an irreparable loss for the country. In July and August 2025, Punjab suffered major floods. During this time, Salman Khan had spoken about the issue and the problems faced by the residents and appealed to people to help the affected state as much as possible.
At that time, Varinder, who shared Salman’s video on his social media account, thanked the superstar for his interest in Punjab. He wrote: “Salman Bhai supports and highlights the floods in Punjab on national television so that everyone in the country is aware of this tragedy.
