‘Weakening public faith’ vs. ‘justified stand’: legal experts divided over Kejriwal’s decision

Members of the legal community have expressed contrasting views on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s decision not to appear before Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma, a Delhi High Court judge who was hearing the CBI’s plea against his removal by a court in the excise policy case.

While some lawyers supported the former Delhi Chief Minister’s decision, others insisted that dissatisfaction with judicial orders should definitely be addressed through established legal solutions and not by refusing to participate in court proceedings.
