A woman in her 20s was allegedly raped by multiple men after leaving a nightclub in Epsom, Surrey, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Surrey Police said the victim reported the “extremely distressing incident”.

The investigation is still in its early stages but police are trying to find the suspect.

The incident occurred between 02.00 and 04.00 in Epsom. The woman was allegedly followed after leaving Labyrinth Epsom nightclub.

Police said the alleged attack then took place outside Epsom Methodist Church on Ashley Road.

Detective Inspector Aine Matthews said: “We understand this is an extremely distressing incident and the victim is being supported by specialist officers.

“Our investigation is still in its early stages and a team of officers are carrying out extensive investigations today to identify and track down the suspects.

“We are working rapidly to develop our picture of the suspects and will share details as soon as possible.

“Officers remain in the area and I would encourage you to speak to them if you have any concerns.

“As part of our investigation, we would like to speak to anyone who was in the area between 2am and 4am and may have seen or spoken to a distressed woman in her 20s.”
