Sir Kenny Dalglish undergoing treatment for cancer

Sir Kenny Dalglish, the great star of Scotland, Liverpool and Celtic, is undergoing cancer treatment.
The former striker and manager wanted to keep the news private but confirmed the diagnosis after accidentally sharing the news in an “inadvertent social media post”.
“I am currently undergoing cancer treatment,” Dalglish, 75, wrote on social media. “Unlike my cell phone use, the treatment is going well.
“Ideally this would have remained secret because that’s the way it should have been, but my useless tech skills gave me a hard time.
“Obviously I did not want to make this matter public, so I would appreciate it if my and my family’s privacy could be respected.
“As always, thank you to the wonderful medical staff who showed incredible care and discretion not just for me but for so many others. They are a credit to themselves.”
Dalglish played 515 times for Liverpool, after scoring 167 goals in 320 appearances for Celtic between 1969 and 1977.
The legendary striker scored 30 goals in 102 matches for Scotland.
In a statement, Liverpool said: “The support, best wishes and love of everyone at Liverpool FC are and will be with Sir Kenny and his family.
“The club would also like to underline the demand for confidentiality going forward.”
