West Bengal CM composes theme song for Durga Puja committee

Western Bengal Prime Minister Mamata BANERİNE composed the lyrics of a Durga Puja Committee’s theme song in Kalcutta.

Tala Prattoy Durga Puja’s theme song, which celebrated its centenary and composed by Ms. Banerler, was sung by the Minister of State Tourism and Knowledge and Cultural Affairs.

Song ‘Bij Angan‘(seeds in the courtyard) was opened by organizers on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Dhrubajioti Bozu Suvo, “Bij angan ‘, Bengal’s legacy is a praise of the permanent spirit of Durga Puja. Honorable Prime Minister was honored to write this special song for the hundred years of Indranil Sen,” he said.

The report estimated the festival economy in 2019. In December 2021, UNESCO added Durga Puja to the representative list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
