West Bengal CM composes theme song for Durga Puja committee

Western Bengal Prime Minister Mamata BANERİNE composed the lyrics of a Durga Puja Committee’s theme song in Kalcutta.

Tala Prattoy Durga Puja’s theme song, which celebrated its centenary and composed by Ms. Banerler, was sung by the Minister of State Tourism and Knowledge and Cultural Affairs.

Song ‘Bij Angan‘(seeds in the courtyard) was opened by organizers on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Dhrubajioti Bozu Suvo, “Bij angan ‘, Bengal’s legacy is a praise of the permanent spirit of Durga Puja. Honorable Prime Minister was honored to write this special song for the hundred years of Indranil Sen,” he said.

For the last few years, the Western Bengal Prime Minister has composed songs for the festival season.

During a meeting at the State Cabinet on Thursday, September 18, 2025, Prime Minister Durga Puja directed to watch their ministers during the Festival. Mrs Panele led them to pay attention to the law and order and to reject the attempts to break peace during the period.

Trinamool Congress President will soon begin to open the big ticket in the state Durga Pujas. Durga Puja is not only the largest festival of West Bengal, but also an opportunity for public access for political parties in the state.

The Prime Minister declared 1.10 lakh for 43,000 communities in the state, which will cost 500 crore for the state fight.

The Western Bengal government claims that the Durga Puja Festival increases the state economy. A report of 2021 by the British Council found that Durga Puja’s creative economy was worth 32,377 Crore and contributed 2.58% to the state’s GDP.

The report estimated the festival economy in 2019. In December 2021, UNESCO added Durga Puja to the representative list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
