West Ham: Nuno meeting Hammers hierarchy amid exit rumours

West Ham Manager Nuno Espirito Santo will meet senior management on Monday to assess the impact of relegation to the Championship, with the belief he is likely to leave the club.

Nuno has refused to say whether he will remain at the London Stadium after failing to prevent the club from withdrawing from the Premier League for the first time since 2011.

The former Wolves, Tottenham and Nottingham Forest manager signed a three-year deal with the Hammers in September.

Despite improving form towards the end of the season, including a 3–0 late victory against Leeds, West Ham paid the price for a poor start, followed by a 10-match winless run from early November to mid-January.

President David Sullivan and vice president Daniel Kretinsky appear to be the main voices at the meeting.

West Ham sources have stated that relegation would cost the club around £200 million in lost revenue at a time when finances are already strained.

The Hammers are estimated to have lost £104 million in the year to May 31, 2025 in their latest accounts and will lose another large sum this season.

A sale looks inevitable with midfielder Mateus Fernandes on Manchester United’s list of midfielders they are interested in.

Skipper Jarrod Bowen is also coveted by some Premier League clubs, but did not want to talk about it in an interview with Match of the Day after the Leeds game.

“It’s still very raw,” the striker said. “Talking about the future is disrespectful to the club, the fans etc. This club deserves to be in the Premier League. Now our aim is to get this club back into the Premier League.”
