Trump warns Indiana GOP leader over redistricting plan for House seats

President Donald Trump sharply criticized Indiana state Senate leader Rodric Bray on Wednesday, accusing the Republican lawmaker of undermining his chances of expanding the party’s House majority through a redistricting plan currently stalled in the state Legislature.

Trump argued that blocking the map would “put the Majority in the House of Representatives at risk” and warned that Republicans opposing the plan would be “met with a MAGA Primary in the Spring.”

The president also accused Bray and some of his allies of being “partners”[ing] with Radical Left Democrats” and singled out “Failed Senate Candidate Mitch Daniels” while claiming the group had become “favorite Republicans of Hakeem Jeffries, Crazy Nancy Pelosi, and Crying Chuck Schumer.”

“Anyone who votes against redistricting and the SUCCESS of the Republican Party in D.C., I am sure, will face a MAGA Primary in the Spring,” Trump wrote, adding that Republicans who “do not do what is necessary to save our Country” will “risk losing.”[ing] “Everything to the Democrats.”

Trump shared his repeated electoral success in Indiana, saying he won the state “six times, all with LARGE Majorities,” and argued that approving the map should be “a great thing to do for our Party and for America itself.”

He warned that Bray “and his friends will not last long in politics” and vowed to “do everything in my power to make sure they do no harm to the Republican Party and our Country again.”

Trump also criticized what he described as Republican “HYPOCRITES” who are aiding Democrats in the redistricting fight, saying he “couldn’t be happier” that the opposing group had found GOP lawmakers willing to break ranks.

The conflict comes as both parties are eyeing the 2026 midterm elections, with Republicans holding a narrow majority in the House and Democrats targeting many competitive districts across the country.

The White House, Bray and Indiana Senate Democrats did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
