Clapham stabbing LIVE: Busy London street closed off as armed police | UK | News

A busy street in London’s Clapham district has been closed after an emergency incident. Police are at the scene on Beauchamp Road in Clapham, south London. An air ambulance was also seen landing at Clapham Common.

London Ambulance Service said it was called to reports of a stabbing at around 3.20pm today (Tuesday) and a man was treated for stab wounds and taken to a major trauma centre.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called at 3.20pm today (21 October) to reports of a stabbing on Beauchamp Road, SW11.

“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic from our tactical response unit and an incident response officer. We also sent the London Air Ambulance.

“Our paramedics arrived on scene in less than four minutes.

“We treated a man for a stab wound and primarily took him by road to a major trauma center.”
