Where is Tropical Storm Amanda? See path tracker, spaghetti models

The first named storm of the 2026 hurricane season – Tropical Storm Amanda – formed in the eastern Pacific Ocean on Wednesday, June 3, according to the National Hurricane Center.
Hurricane center forecasters said: Consultation in the early morning hours of June 4 Amanda was located approximately 1,500 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula, with maximum sustained winds around 40 mph.
The storm is moving toward the northwest at about 8 mph, with a gradual turn toward the west-northwest and west expected over the next few days, and a turn toward the southwest at a slower forward speed this weekend, forecasters said.
Amanda is expected to gain some strength throughout the day on Thursday, June 4, but the weakening is expected to begin Friday night or Saturday, the NHC said. The storm does not pose any threat to land at this time.

This forecast track shows the most likely path to the center of the storm. It does not show the full width of the storm or its effects, and the center of the storm is likely to move outside the cone up to 33% of the time.

NHC tracks 2 other systems in the Pacific Ocean
NHC says it’s tracking him as well as Amanda two other systems in the eastern Pacific basin.
Forecasters said a low pressure area is expected to form off Central America and southern Mexico late this week, and environmental conditions appear conducive for the system to strengthen into a tropical depression this weekend or early next week.
The hurricane center says the system has a 50% chance of developing tropical within the next week.
Another low pressure area is expected to form off southern and southwestern Mexico early next week; environmental conditions also look favorable for a gradual improvement early next week.
A tropical depression could form during this time as the system moves north or northwest near the coast of southern Mexico, giving the storm a 60% chance of tropical development over the next seven days, forecasters said.
Pacific storms rarely make landfall
Unlike storms in the Atlantic basin, the vast majority (about 85% to 90%) of storms that form in the Pacific never threaten land and usually return harmlessly to the sea. But occasionally they can affect Hawaii, the west coast of Mexico, or the southwestern United States with heavy flooding and rainfall.
