Ireda to seek shareholders’ approval to raise ₹2,994 cr via equity | Company News

State-owned Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency will seek shareholders’ approval to raise Rs 2,994 Million through equity issue to investors, including qualified institutional buyers, through postal voting.

According to the postal ballot notice, this issue will not reduce the President of India’s stake in the company by more than 3.76 per cent of the post-issue paid-up equity capital.

The company anticipates growth opportunities within its current operations and continues to evaluate various avenues.

Accordingly, the company continues to need capital to ensure this growth.

The Company has proposed to raise additional capital to increase its capital base, as may be permitted by applicable law and as approved by the board of directors, in order to meet future capital requirements, prospective lending and general corporate purposes.

The application and distribution schedule of revenues will then be approved by the Board at the relevant time.

Remote e-voting for the decision will start at 09:00 on Friday, February 13, 2026 and will end at 17:00 on Saturday, March 14, 2026.
