White House joins liberal platform Bluesky with viral meme video post

The White House officially joined liberal-leaning social media platform Bluesky on Friday with a cheerful post featuring President Donald Trump’s “greatest hits.”
In its initial post, the Trump administration appeared to mock the platform’s liberal users, many of whom joined the site to escape conservative voices. Many of Twitter’s once prominent users, now known as X since Elon Musk’s acquisition, post exclusively on Bluesky.
“What’s up, Bluesky? We thought you might have missed some of our biggest hits, so we put them together for you.” text readfeatures a reel of the administration’s best-performing memes.

“I can’t wait to spend more quality time together!” she continued, adding a heart emoji.
The 52-second video includes clips from Trump’s rallies and meetings with foreign leaders.

He is heard saying at the beginning: “My fellow Americans, our movement is not over. In fact, our struggle has only just begun.”
“We are one movement, one people, one family and one glorious nation under God.”
The video then shifts to showcase some of the administration’s most viral memes.
These include an image of the car replacing former President Joe Biden’s photo at the White House, a “Daddy’s house” meme referencing NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte’s famous phrase, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, a sombrero and mustache superimposed on the DY, and an AI-generated image of Trump dressed as the Pope, among others.

Bluesky surged in popularity after billionaire Elon Musk acquired Twitter, now rebranded as X, in 2022. The platform also grew following Trump’s November 2024 presidential election victory.
In June, Vice President J.D. Vance also joined Bluesky.

“Hi Bluesky, I’m told this app has become the go-to place for level-headed political discussion and analysis. So I’m excited to be here to engage with all of you,” Vance wrote.
Vance’s initial post was briefly banned by the platform after it was flagged as a potential fraudulent account. The company later reversed the ban in an email to Fox News Digital: “Welcome to the conversation about the Vice President’s Bluesky.”

The White House wasn’t the only one to join the Bluesky. Several other Trump administration agencies, including the departments of Transportation, Health and Human Services, and Homeland Security, also launched Bluesky accounts on Friday.
