White House on lockdown after reports of shots fired in vicinity

The White House was placed on lockdown after nearly 30 shots were reportedly fired near the executive mansion on Saturday.

Reporters reported that multiple gunshots were heard near the Eisenhower Executive Office Building.

The U.S. Secret Service was heard telling reporters to “get down” before the press was ushered into the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room in the West Wing.

Secret Service agents were seen on the field with their guns drawn.

Hours before the alleged gunshots were heard, President Donald Trump stated that he was in the White House Oval Office and announced that the administration was close to finalizing a deal that would end the war with Iran.
