Whitney Leavitt sends message to haters after Dancing with the Stars exit

“Secret Lives of Mormon Women” star Whitney Leavitt sent a clear message to her haters after being eliminated from “Dancing with the Stars.”
A day after the finale crowned Robert Irwin and Witney Carson as the winners of season 34, Leavitt and partner Mark Ballas appeared on Alex Cooper’s show. “Call His Dad” podcast to perform one final freestyle.
On November 26, Leavitt and Ballas had the opportunity to perform the dances they designed for the finale. They were eliminated from the show in the semi-finals.
“The fans are devastated because they want the freestyle dance. They’re like, ‘How can we not see Mark and Whitney freestyle dance? Even if they don’t win, at least give us this. At least let us see the dance.'” Cooper prefaced his performance.

“So I don’t know if anyone noticed, but we’re sitting in the middle of a dance floor right now. I was wondering if Whitney and Mark would do us the honor of doing your last freestyle dance,” the podcast host said.

During the segment, “Dancing with the Stars” announcer Alan Dedicoat introduced Leavitt and Ballas to his cover of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way.” The dance included glittery outfit changes, fake blood and metaphors for the online hate both Leavitt and Ballas have received since competing on the show.
In the podcast, Ballas read some of the direct messages he received while competing on the show.

“‘Are you cheap enough to rot and do this? Damn, you’re special. You’re completely worthless and I hope you burn in hell one day,'” he read aloud.

He continued, “This is just one of them. And they’re this brutal in a dance show.”
“I think there’s also a story of, you wanted to be in the entertainment industry, which is what you signed up for,” Ballas said. “I signed up to dance, to choreograph, to make music, to be on stage, to entertain people, to bring happiness, to bring joy.”
‘Dancing With the Stars’ Winner Says Show Is a ‘Mental Battle’
Leavitt stated that she has “definitely become a little more desensitized” due to her rise to fame from reality television.
“I’ve experienced this for years. But I think what was a little triggering was watching someone experience it for the first time.”

It just didn’t seem to make any sense to me,” Leavitt continued. “And sometimes I felt like it was my fault because I was like, ‘Oh, maybe it’s because of me, maybe it’s because he’s partnered with me.’ I felt like it was my fault at the time. It was like a roller coaster of emotions at that time.”
Following the elimination and before the podcast’s launch, Leavitt said: to Instagram and shared a tearful video expressing her gratitude for being able to compete on the show.

“I’m just going to speak from the heart and share what I feel. I share the good, I share the bad, I share the ugly. So I’m going to keep doing that,” she began.

“When you star on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ you see these people for hours every day,” Leavitt continued. “Then it just stops. It really feels like a breakup. It feels like I’m going through withdrawal right now. I felt so weird today.”
Leavitt concluded his video with gratitude, especially for the friendships he had with Ballas.

“Like, I loved every bit of it, but what I loved the most and didn’t expect was having a lifelong friend, a friend who makes fart noises every day. I’m so grateful. I love you guys. And I love this show so much, too.”
On “Call Her Daddy,” Leavitt suspected that drama on “Mormon Wives” played a role in her elimination. Ballas said she wasn’t very familiar with the reality TV show and “couldn’t pinpoint” whether their elimination was due to a single reason.
“Sometimes that happens,” Ballas said.

“I think with such a stacked cast and really great talent, great talent all around, you get to the point where we don’t know the votes. Maybe one week, someone who votes one way will say: ‘You know what? I’m going to throw these votes this way,'” he continued.

Irwin and Carson defeated phenomenon Alix Earle and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy in the final.
Irwin took to Instagram Sharing “dreams do come true” after taking home the coveted mirror ball. Prince William and Kate Middleton congratulated her on her big win. “Congratulations Robert and Witney!” They commented on the post by adding disco ball and star emojis.
