Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) vice-president Kolanukonda Shivaji on Thursday, April 16, 2026, expressed concerns over the proposed Constitution (131st Amendment) Draft Law No. 2026 and Draft Law No. 2026 were presented to the Parliament.
“The central government appears to be using the redistribution of constituencies for political gain to increase the number of constituencies in areas where the ruling party is strong. This raises serious doubts about the impartiality of the democratic system,” Mr. Shivaji said at a press conference at the Andhra Ratna Bhavan party office.
