The Governor described Hampi as ‘a unique combination of India’s cultural consciousness, architectural genius, spiritual depth and timeless artistry’. The book offers an emotional journey through time as Saibal Das captures life where others can see the ruins.
Mr. Lahar Singh, who played a key role in coming up with the book, said he did it as a personal tribute to Karnataka. “The people of Karnataka, who had migrated from Rajasthan, warmly embraced me. This book is my humble gesture of gratitude towards them,” he said.
HK Patil said Saibal Das’ book reflects the rich heritage, culture and archeology of Hampi and brings to life an ancient civilization that was once the object of curiosity for all eyes.
