They walked through the revolving doors to greet their waiting fans.
The former royal family members embraced the young oncology patients and chatted with their families in the foyer for about 10 minutes before moving to a private section of the hospital to see other patients, 9News reported. The Sussexes revealed their visit was privately funded and flew business class to Melbourne on a commercial Qantas Airways flight from Los Angeles. “This is a privately funded trip. They’re going to have to have some business interest to pay for it,” Hagan told the Australian Broadcasting Corp, according to the AP.
“If they didn’t have business interests, the problem would be: Oh my God, these people are exploiting the Royal Family and taxpayers whether they make their own money or not. How dare they make their own money.” They can’t do right by doing wrong,” Hagan added.
