In a Jan. 17 post via the @XCreators account, the app said it ended last year with “the highest payouts since the launch of our monetization program” and was considering expanding the program to “allow creators to grow and earn more on X.”

“Our goal is to build the best platform to make a living from your content, and this is just the beginning,” he added.

The app, which emphasizes longer-format content on the platform, also said in another post on January 17 that X would give $1 million to the Most Important Article of the next pay period. “Our goal is to recognize high-value, high-impact content that shapes conversation, breaks news, and moves culture,” he said.

The series of posts called on “creators, writers, journalists, thought leaders” to “double down on the moment.”
