: In a move aimed at strengthening transparency and efficiency in school feeding programmes, the public school education department on Thursday signed an agreement with the International Innovation Alliance to strengthen the implementation of the Dokka Seethamma Lunch Programme.

The global agency operates under the aegis of Chicago University Trust (India).

Under the MoU, the partnership aims to improve service delivery to approximately 3.23 million students who receive meals every day across 42,230 schools and colleges in the state.

The agreement was formalized at the office of human resource development department secretary Kona Shashidhar here.

Among those present were MMSSS director and Samagra Shiksha state project director B Srinivas Rao and university education commissioner and director Narayana Bharat Gupta.

The collaboration will leverage modern tools such as data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) to increase transparency, simplify monitoring and enable faster decision-making.

The IIC team will help accurately predict student meal attendance, track nutritional standards and reduce administrative burden.
