Wilfried Nancy: Celtic close to appointing Columbus Crew manager

After spells in her hometown, including Toulon, Nancy moved into coaching in Canada.

Following Thierry Henry’s resignation as head coach in 2021, Nancy took charge of CF Montreal and led them to the Canadian Championship that year.

A move to the Crew followed in 2022, and Nancy led the Ohio team to the MLS Cup in 2023 and the Leagues Cup between Mexico and the United States last year, where she was also named MLS coach of the year.

However, this year they finished seventh in the Eastern Conference and 12th overall.

In total he has managed 215 matches in North America and his move to Celtic will be his first managerial role in Europe.
