POLL: Should the UK stand by Ukraine if Trump pulls out? | UK | News

Donald Trump has hinted that he may wash his hands of the Ukraine-Russia war because the two countries cannot agree on a peace deal. Last week Trump said of the ongoing war: “Sometimes you have to let people fight.” But MI6’s new chief, Blaise Metreweli, has promised that Britain’s support for Ukraine will be unwavering.
He made his first speech at the Secret Intelligence Service headquarters as follows: “There is no doubt about Putin, our support is permanent. The pressure we apply on behalf of Ukraine will continue.”
It is claimed that Trump could eliminate US intelligence vital to Ukraine throughout the war. This comes as the US’s new national security strategy suggests that Russia is no longer classified as an “existential threat” to America.
So, do you think the UK should stand by Ukraine if Trump withdraws its support from the US? Share your thoughts in our poll below.
