Woman found dead on Mount Tibrogargan hours after calling for help

A woman was found dead on a notorious mountain on the Sunshine Coast hours after a call for help was heard.
Police were called to Mount Tibrogargan base on the Sunshine Coast at around 8.40am on Thursday following reports a woman was screaming for help.
Emergency services began searching the mountain on foot and found the woman dead around 10.30am.
Officers believe the woman, who was probably alone, fell while walking.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
The mountain is located in the Glass House Mountains National Park, approximately 90 km north of Brisbane, and is approximately 465 m high.
The mountain range is a popular spot for hikers, tourists and bushwalkers, but is also famous for its falling rocks and sometimes dangerous paths.

Last month, two young people lost their lives after falling 100 meters from Beerwah Mountain, also located in the Glass Mountains National Park.
Lorielle Russell, 18, and Jack Thatcher, 18, slipped on wet ground while walking on March 15.
Ms Russell died at the scene, while Mr Thatcher was taken to hospital and died days later.
