Woman Stabbed to Death Near Padarupalli Tank; Suspect Surrenders Before Police

Nellore: A woman was allegedly stabbed to death near Padarupalli Tank in BV Nagar on Tuesday afternoon, and the accused later surrendered to the police.
The deceased was identified as 33-year-old Revathi, a resident of Kanuparthipadu village in Nellore district.
According to V Town circle inspector Srinivasa Rao, Revathi had been married for nearly 17 years and had two children. She has reportedly been separated from her husband for the past seven years and lives with her father while raising her children.
Police said Revathi met Srikanth, a resident of the same village, and the two were in a relationship for the last six years. Investigators suspect that Srikanth developed suspicions due to his frequent phone calls with another person recently.
Police said Srikanth claimed that he asked Revathi to meet him on Tuesday afternoon and took her to a secluded spot near Padarupalli Tank. Investigators suspect he was carrying a knife with him. He allegedly attacked Revathi during the meeting and stabbed her to death.
Following the incident, Srikanth reportedly went to V Town police station and surrendered.
