Wimbledon denies tennis fans are going to the toilet in woods outside park

A local campaignist claims that the fans who lined up for tickets to the prestigious tennis tournament claims that defecation and urine in nearby forest areas.

Simon Wright, a member of the Save Wimbledon Park group, said that the historical parking area, especially a secluded area known as “Piggy Forests” – was abused by some Queuers as temporary toilets.

The nickname dates back to the Second World War, where local residents hold the pigs there as part of their efforts to eat during war.

“We encountered used tissues – clear what they are used for. Human feces are much worse than animal feces in terms of microbiological load.”

The problem, in particular, said that the oldest part of the forests, which proves that the hidden signs that encourage visitors to “respect the forest” are ineffective, are especially acute.

“There is a postcard-sized notification that he respects these forests-a little additional mouth,” he said: “Last night, I met the three men who went there to pee.”

All England Club spokesman confirmed that they did not see any evidence to confirm the existing claims, but that they regularly patrolled the area to ensure good protection of managers.

In the first four days of the championships, more than 40,000 people were ordinary and praised the Southfields community for “usual good intentions and hospitality”.

Bay Wright, who lives near the park, claimed that local children came into contact with human feces while playing in the region and described the problem as an increased sign of pressure in the park due to both health risk and tail size.

“This is partially a health risk, but also a lack of respect,” he added.

Save Wimbledon Park is a group opposing All England Club’s plans to withstand the neighboring parking area.

Concerns about sanitation were brought up by MP Fleur Anderson and the leader of the Wandsworth Council and Mr. Wright in 2022, especially in 2022, when there was less portable toilet.

Similar complaints appeared ten years ago; In 2015 Wimbledon Times Human waste reported, urine “dry in the sun” and long queues for limited toilet facilities in the park.

At that time, the Merton Council confirmed that portable toilets were provided and warned the criminals that the criminals could be prosecuted, while All England Club described Queuers’ behavior of a very small minority “and” completely unacceptable “.
