‘With power comes responsibility’ – Hector Bellerin wins BBC Green Sports Award

Bellerin’s influence goes far beyond the field. He continuously used his public appearances that followed the great social media to defend the climate action, to encourage more ethical consumption and to encourage community change.
“I feel that the power comes responsibility. Everywhere when someone puts a microphone, there is a chance to talk about problems, to create a conversation,” he says.
Surrounded by nature, the waist rely on the growing of the environment to establish a lifetime connection with the environment – one continues to shape his daily decisions from transportation to vegan and to fashion choices.
Orum I have been consuming second -hand clothes and shoes for a long time. Once I remember, it took six months to decide to buy a pair of shoes I saw in a shop next to my park, ”he says.
“I almost always wear these shoes. This is about giving what you consume a good life and giving another life when you’re done.
“We were constantly bombed with ads that created a wrong sense of need.”
Beller accepts that some foundations such as clothing, food and travel are necessary and enrich our lives. But he says the key is to question if we really need something before buying.
“This is my basic part. I always reflect it, or he says. “If I can share this with others, I can help create a better and safer environment for everyone.”
