West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS) said: “Shortly after 7.30am on Wednesday, January 14, we responded to Sunbeam Street near the junction with Upper Villiers Street in Blakenhall, Wolverhampton.
“We now have eight fire engines, a 4×4 brigade response vehicle and a hydraulic aerial platform. Firefighters from Bilston, Fallings Park, Tipton, Willenhall, Haden Cross, Wednesbury, Dudley and Walsall are on scene. The first team arrived at the scene within three minutes of mobilisation.
“This is a factory building fire. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are currently fighting the fire using hose reel jets. This is a live incident. Please avoid the area while we work on scene as it is a significant disruption. If you live or work in the area, please close your doors and windows.”
