Woman, 30, left fighting for her life and four teenage boys arrested after stabbing – as suspects seen ‘fleeing on e-bike’

Four young men have been arrested after a woman fought for her life following a stabbing in Huddersfield, in which the suspects fled on an e-bike.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a 30-year-old woman suffered severe neck and head injuries following an attack on Topaz Close in the city last Monday.
Three other boys, aged 18, 17 and 16, were also arrested on suspicion of aiding the criminal.
West Yorkshire Police confirmed the victim remains in hospital in a ‘critical condition’.
The force appealed for anyone with information about the attack, which later occurred at 10.30pm, to come forward.
They are appealing for witnesses to the crime or anyone who saw the two suspects before or after the stabbing on an e-bike in Surron or in the Birky and Edgerton area.
A spokesman for the force confirmed ‘numerous’ arrests had been made but investigations are ongoing.
They said: ‘Police investigating a serious assault on a woman in Huddersfield have made a number of arrests as investigations continue.

‘Officers yesterday (16/5) arrested a 17-year-old Huddersfield boy on suspicion of attempted murder and three Huddersfield teenage boys, aged 18, 17 and 16, on suspicion of assisting an offender.
‘The 30-year-old victim of the attack remains in hospital in a critical condition.
‘Police continue to appeal for information from anyone who saw the attack, which took place at around 10.30pm, or the two suspects who were riding an e-bike or Surron in Birkby/Edgerton before or after the stabbing.’
