Woman allegedly caught on CCTV stealing tip jars from multiple Gold Coast cafes

A woman was allegedly caught on CCTV stealing tip jars from several cafes in Queensland and, in some cases, taking nearly six months’ worth of cash.
Security footage from various cafes on the Gold Coast allegedly shows the woman waiting for staff to be distracted before placing the tip jars in her bag and walking away.
“Five seconds later, he was gone,” Goya Cafe owner Chana Murakawa told 7News.
About an hour later, another cafe was allegedly targeted in a similar manner.
Days later, more images emerged from BSKT Cafe.
“We immediately looked at the camera and couldn’t believe it,” owner Sonia Griggins said.
“He’s traveling.”
Business owners say the alleged thefts have occurred in areas including Broadbeach, Miami, Coolangatta and Kirra in the last two weeks.
Beefy’s Pies and Cafe All Sorts are also among the businesses affected.

Jennifer Roch said the jar stolen from her business was donated to animal rescue organization 4Paws.
“Ours was a charity jar, so we donate to the 4Paws charity and people leave tips, so there was quite a bit in there,” he said.
Ms. Murakawa said her jar contained about six months’ worth of tips.
That’s why we warn everyone,” he said.
“This lady is dangerous.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Queensland Police.
