Woman and child found dead in Queensland home | Queensland

A mother and her young daughter were found dead in their Queensland home, while a bloodied man was hit by a car near the grisly crime scene.
The tragedy unfolded following reports that the injured man had been hit by a vehicle near a supermarket in south-east Queensland.
The man, who had neck wounds, was shot in Logan, about 30 kilometers south of Brisbane, on Thursday morning.
While police were trying to reach the man’s next of kin, officers found the bodies of a 38-year-old woman and her one-year-old daughter in the family’s nearby home.
Det Supt Chris Ahearn said both died from critical injuries sustained from a sharp weapon.
“We believe three of these people (child, mother and father) were living in a family unit in that house,” Det Ahearn said.
“Our investigations focus heavily on the nature of their relationships and their living arrangements in that home.”
Witnesses were alarmed after seeing a bloodied man running along a footpath and then being hit by a black vehicle about 300 meters from the family home.
Evidence markers were placed along the path showing a trail of blood leading from the house.
It was learned that the man’s condition was serious and he was under police supervision in the hospital.
Police said there was no domestic violence warrant against the couple, adding that there was no other threat to the community.
The home remains a crime scene as detectives ask anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact police.
