Woman ‘deliberately pushed buggy in path of lorry’ as police hunt for her | UK | News

Police are trying to identify a woman who allegedly abandoned a car and then rolled into the path of an oncoming truck.
Lincolnshire Police said the incident took place along the A16 at the Middlegate Road West junction in Kirton in Lincolnshire on January 5 and saw a “white or pink package”, initially believed to be a baby, fly into the air when the car was hit.
Police added that extensive searches “confirmed there was no baby in the car and no strollers remained at the scene.”
The police call stated that officers identified the driver and spoke with him, and that they now “want to speak to the woman.”
The woman is described as being in her twenties and wearing a three-quarter length brown jacket and trousers.
The woman is believed to have been walking along Middlegate Road West in Kirton and appeared to cross the A16 towards Middlegate Road East towards Frampton.
A spokesman for the force said: “We are investigating a reported collision in which a woman let go of her baby stroller, causing it to roll directly into the path of an oncoming lorry. “We are trying to identify the woman.
