Woman dies in skydiving incident near Nottinghamshire airfield

A young woman has died in a skydiving incident near an airport in Nottinghamshire.
Emergency services were called to the scene near Langar Airport at 12.13pm on Sunday.
Nottinghamshire Police said the 22-year-old woman was found in a nearby field and was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family has been informed and will be supported by authorities. Police said no one else was injured in the incident and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
Det Insp Rachel Mayfield said: “This was a tragic incident and we are working with our partners to understand what happened.
“As our investigations at the scene continue, our thoughts are with the woman’s family and everyone affected.”
