Woman ‘dragged to the ground’ in sexual assault in Plymouth | UK | News

A woman was dragged to the ground during a “serious” sexual assault in a British city, police said. Devon and Cornwall Police have made an appeal to identify a witness as part of their investigation into the horrific incident.
Police said in a statement that the sexual assault took place in Plymouth at around 3am on September 12 last year. Police said the victim was approached by an unknown male while walking on New George Street in the city.
In a statement, Devon and Cornwall Police said: “The suspect then began speaking to the victim before attempting to pull down his top.
“He then followed the victim before dragging him to the ground and placing his hand over his mouth.
“The victim’s scream alerted a woman passing by, which caused the suspect to flee. The witness gave the victim his jacket and walked her home.”
