Woman found dead in Kearsley home near Cessnock in suspected domestic violence incident

A woman’s body has been found at a home in the Hunter Valley following reports of domestic violence.

Detectives launched an investigation into the death after the woman’s body was found by officers at a house in Ellalong Street, Kearsley, near Cessnock, on Friday night.

NSW Police said emergency services responded to reports of a domestic violence incident at the home just after 7.30pm.

Officers from Hunter Valley Police District established a crime scene. Specialist forensic officers are attending the incident and the State Crime Command Homicide Squad is assisting detectives with their investigations.
