Vogue accused of Facetuning Amal Clooney: ‘I thought it was someone else’

Vogue readers were outraged after Amal Clooney’s latest photos shared on Instagram were revealed to have been Facetuned.
The magazine shared two photos of the human rights lawyer speaking on stage at the Prix Suisse event in Switzerland on Sunday, and users noticed an unusually cool look.
Clooney, 47, took the stage to talk about a range of topics, including his career as a human rights lawyer and his work with the Clooney Foundation for Justice, but some focused on his face.
Clooney is known for his high cheekbones and striking facial features, but critics claim they barely recognize him in Vogue’s post.
‘Why did they make his face AI? It looks terrible. ‘She’s a 50-year-old woman so there was no need to make her look 20,’ one user raged.
‘Did Vogue just FaceTune Amal Clooney?’ questioned another.
A third asked: ‘Why did you do a face tune on her???’
‘Please do not filter this amazing person. “Fourth, his genius is the focal point,” he interjected.

Another summarized what many users thought.
‘Honestly, I thought it was someone else in the first photo!’ they wrote.
Although the wife of actor George Clooney looked stunning with her hair down in a billowy bright red Sergio Hudson jumpsuit, which she paired with gold earrings and gold heels, some criticized the magazine for only mentioning what she was wearing rather than the content of her speech.
The post was captioned: ‘Over the weekend, Amal Clooney added a festive twist to her signature silhouette to appear at the 2025 Prix Suisse.
‘Clooney addressed the crowd in a flashy jumpsuit; It was a look he made indispensable when speaking in public.’
The Daily Mail has reached out to Amal Clooney’s representatives and Vogue parent company Conde Nast for comment.
Keen fans were quick to notice that the eye-catching jumpsuit was also worn by the lawyer at Meghan Markle’s 2019 baby shower six years ago.
In August, the natural beauty was accused of ‘showing off’ her movie star husband at the Venice Film Festival premiere of his film Jay Kelly.
Although Clooney, photographed in October, is known for his high cheekbones and striking facial features, critics claimed in Vogue’s latest post that they did not recognize the lawyer.

The mother-of-two wore a striking fuchsia minidress with a dramatic train, with her look challenging due to an expensive facial she had before the event.
As the Daily Mail previously reported, Clooney reportedly underwent the 111SKIN treatment, which included ‘wand movements to reduce wrinkles’ and a facial massage.
The products for the treatment reportedly cost just under $3,000, and the 90-minute procedure costs around $315.
Clooney, who shares eight-year-old twin children Alexander and Ella with her husband of 11 years, has long been known for her prestigious law career.
He has represented numerous high-profile clients, including former Maldives president Mohamed Nasheed and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.
The Beirut-born lawyer, who moved to England at the age of two to escape the Lebanon War, is an adjunct professor of law at Columbia Law School and Visiting Professor of Practice at the Blavatnik School of Government at Oxford University.
