A former Republican staffer accused of orchestrating a horrific politically motivated attack has resurfaced in a new photo showing permanent scars from wounds that prosecutors allege he paid someone to inflict. Natalie Greene, 26, was found zip-tied along a wooded path in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, in July last year and claimed she had been kidnapped and dismembered by three masked men in a brutal attack linked to her political work.
There were dozens of deep cuts covering his face, neck, chest and shoulder, while “Trump w***e” was written across his abdomen. The case made national headlines after Greene, who worked for Republican Congressman Jeff Van Drew, claimed she was targeted because of her political affiliation.

But federal prosecutors say the entire incident was an elaborate hoax.
Greene has now posted a new profile photo on Facebook, in which thick pink scars are clearly visible on her upper chest and shoulder under her low-cut knit vest. She was pictured smiling next to an unidentified tattooed man.
Court photos released after his arrest show the severity of the injuries, with deep diagonal cuts running across his upper body.
According to prosecutors, Greene traveled from New Jersey to Pennsylvania to meet a body modification artist she contacted via Instagram two days before the alleged attack.
Investigators allege the artist paid the artist $500 to perform the scarification procedure.

During searches, authorities said they found a receipt documenting the payment and discovered Greene had viewed online pages on Reddit about body modification and scarring.
Investigators also allege an accomplice searched online for “zippers near me” shortly before the incident. Police later found zip ties inside Greene’s car that matched those used to bind his wrists and ankles.
Emergency services were called after a woman, allegedly acting at Greene’s request, made a frantic 911 call reporting a violent attack.
Officers found Greene lying in a wooded area with his hands and feet bound behind his back with black zip ties. His shirt was pulled over his head and he had several cuts on his body.
He allegedly told officers he was restrained by one or more attackers who scratched his skin and wrote this on his stomach before escaping. Greene also claimed that one of the attackers was armed.
But prosecutors say Greene and the woman who called 911 gave conflicting versions of events and inconsistent descriptions of the alleged suspects.
The U.S. Department of Justice later charged Greene with conspiracy and making false statements to law enforcement.
If convicted of both charges, he faces up to 10 years in prison, a fine of up to $500,000 and up to six years of supervised release.
Court records also show Greene was ordered to receive mental health treatment in December last year.
His current whereabouts are unclear following reports that he had become estranged from some family members and friends following the criminal case. The charges remain allegations and Greene was not convicted.
