Ms. McKenzie said she wanted to share her story to emphasize the “systemic” delays of victims of violence in Australia.

“Violence is never good, and we need better systems to support those who are victims of violence, Mad Mrs. McKenzie wrote on a Facebook post.
“My (alleged) attack was a random foreigner, but I’m still trying to navigate the systems that all the victims have to do.
“In case of domestic violence (and some men), women are disappointed in many ways.
“I hope I can emphasize some of the obvious systemic changes needed by talking.
“Justice says that delayed justice is rejected, so I will share my 7 minutes when the legal system goes to the speed of a snail.”
