Cops investigating credit card fraud involving gas purchases

Police are seeking the public’s help to identify two individuals following multiple incidents of credit card fraud in Brampton this spring.

Peel Regional Police said they received numerous reports between May 13 and June 5 of two male suspects who used stolen credit card information in the Queen St. and Delta Park Blvd. area.

Cops said the suspects are seen using the stolen credit card information to purchase gasoline for large commercial trucking vehicles.

According to police, the fraud allegedly occurred 19 separate times and the victim was defrauded more than $12,000.

Both suspects are described as South Asian, cops said.

One suspect is between 35 to 40 years old with a heavy build, black beard and mustache. He was wearing a reflector vest, Adidas shirt, brown cargo pants, and green running shoes.

The second suspect is between 25 to 30 years old with a medium build, black beard and mustache, and black hair with shaved sides. He was wearing a black jacket, great sweatpants, and a grey Fila sweater.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about these individuals to call 21 Division at 905-453-2121, ext. 2133.
