Mr. McLachlan, who was supported by young lawyer Henry Riding, pointed out his claim to the dock: “Prosecution, when you put together all the evidence, Michael Ormandy, Michael Ormandy was responsible for killing Rebekah Campbell and never defending himself.

He continued: “His intention was clear at the beginning. Considering the number of wounds given to Rebekah Campbell, it was really the intention of killing rather than a really serious harm. The prosecution case was the murder.”

Ormandy, defended by Nick Johnson Kc and Daniel Travers, rejected a murder. Liverpool judge, Andrew Menary KC’s hearing is the Honorary Recorder and is expected to take about two weeks.
