Trishul Tri-Service Exercise begins with mission-oriented validations to strengthen integrated readiness across multiple domains, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
The statement stated that the exercise covers electronic warfare, cyber, drone and counter-drone operations, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, and air defense control and reporting.
The statement said the exercise prepared trilateral services to dominate both virtual and physical domains through seamless integration of land, sea and air for coordinated joint fires.
The Army’s Southern Command participated to validate full-spectrum land-sea-air integration that brings to life the ‘Partnership, Atmanirbharta and Innovation’ mantra, the statement said.
According to the Ministry of Defense, Exercise Trishul, reflecting the expansion of the armed forces’ multi-domain capabilities and focus on ATMirbharta, began with mission-oriented validations to strengthen integrated readiness across multiple domains.
Under the comprehensive framework, the three forces are participating in a series of exercises.
In the Thar desert, Southern Command formations are conducting intense integrated maneuvers through Exercises ‘MaruJwala’ and ‘Akhand Prahaar’ to verify combined arms operations, mobility and joint fire integration under realistic conditions.
The training will culminate in a mega combat exercise verifying precision targeting and multi-domain coordination. This reaffirms the Army’s commitment to transformation through rigorous training and operational validation, the statement said.
In the Kutch sector, a team comprising the Army, Navy, Air Force, Indian Coast Guard and Border Security Force is rehearsing the integrated operational capability in close coordination with the civil administration, reflecting the military-civil fusion approach.
In the final phase of Exercise Trishul, a joint amphibious exercise will be conducted off the Saurashtra Coast, involving beach landing operations by the amphibious forces of the Southern Command. The statement stated that this will confirm full-spectrum land-sea-air integration and underline the armed forces’ ability to project power and synergy across multiple domains.
According to the Ministry of Defence, Exercise Trishul also serves as a testing ground for the Indian Army’s ‘Decade of Transformation’ initiative.
It reaffirmed the Indian Army’s resolve to continually evolve and remain a future-ready force capable of meeting emerging challenges across the full spectrum of conflicts, it said.
