Worker penalty rates to get greater legal protection

Penalty rates for millions of workers shall be legally protected in accordance with the laws introduced when the federal parliament continues.
Measures covering the penalty rates and overtime wages as workplace conditions will be among the first parts of the Parliament as part of the second period of the Albanian government.
Laws will not be allowed to form part of a single level of wage in which employees will be worse.
Employment Minister Amanda Rishworth said that measures will allow the protection of critical workplace conditions.
“If you trust the modern prize security network and weekends, public holidays, late in the morning or late at night, you deserve to protect your wages.” He said.
He said: “We want this law to be passed as the first priority, so the workers are protected from the gaps that see that their host salaries are going backwards.”
The laws will protect approximately 2.6 million workers in modern award fees.
The measures, the most intense retail after -sales and business groups, large companies in exchange for an increase in wage levels for the personnel to choose to provide penalty rates made suggestions.
The worker was presented to the Fair Labor Commission against changes.
Rishworth said that women, part -time or daily personnel and people under 35 years of age are more likely to encounter penalties.
He said that the workplace agreements should not see that the wage rates for personnel go backwards.
“Corporate bargaining is a suitable place to meet rights to erode the award security network.” He said.
Penal ratio laws will ensure that payment packages will not be reduced when applications are made to the Fair Labor Commission when the wage rates are negotiated.
The Federal Parliament will continue on Tuesday for the opening of the ceremony and the first legislation will be put forward during the week.
Penal ratio laws will be among the first parts of the 48th Parliament with the decrease in hecs debt for students.
