CM Omar Abdullah Reviews Situation Amid Incessant Rains

In an article in the social media platform X, Prime Minister J & K shared, “The Prime Minister chaired a meeting this morning to review the situation caused by the rains. The management directed the ground response to the ground response, to clean the irrigated areas, to protect the basic services, to realize timely evacuation in critical regions and to relax immediately.”

Ministers Javed Rana and Satish Sharma were informed to the Prime Minister about the situation in Jammu, while Minister Sakina Itoo and advisor Nasir Socami Kashmir made updates from Kashmir. In various parts of Jammu & Kashmir, he witnessed continuous heavy rainfall, rivers have been reported to swelling and flash -like flood -like conditions in multiple regions.

In Rajouri, continuous torrential rainfall led to flood -like conditions and forced the authorities to remain high. Meanwhile, in Bhalesa and Bhasa and Bhaderwah regions of Doda, the heavy rains continued for the second day in a row and triggered flood -like conditions.

While the Tawi River was in full Spate in the midst of uninterrupted rainfall, the water level of the Jhelum River in Srinagar increased significantly. Similarly, the Chenab River is in a complete spat due to continuous shower in the upper regions.

The Chenab River has entered the houses due to the increase in water levels caused by heavy rains, and many houses have been underwater with water.
