Vizag Economic Region Office Opened In VMRDA Complex

Visakhapatnam: The newly formed Visakhapatnam Economic Zone (VER) has started its operations from its temporary office located within the VMRDA complex.
The opening of Visakhapatnam Economic Zone office is a significant milestone in the launch of three economic zones announced by NITI Aayog.
The event was attended by key officials including VER deputy CEO and Metropolitan Commissioner N. Tej Bharat, GVMC commissioner Ketan Garg, additional Commissioner Datla Keerthi, OSD Krishna Naik, secretary Murali Krishna, chief engineer Vinay Kumar, chief statistical officer Hari Prasad and chief planning officer Divya Latha. Staff from various departments also attended the event, which reflected the collaborative approach envisaged for the development of the region.
On the occasion, Pranav Gopal said: “The opening of VER office marks the beginning of coordinated efforts to transform Visakhapatnam into a major economic hub. The office is expected to play a central role in driving investments and planning and execution of projects across the region, as envisaged by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.”
