UK-based gambling reform campaigner Matt Zarb-Cousin said punters betting on the World Cup would see “more addictive casino content cross-promoted”. He also highlighted a National Center for Social Research report showing that 79% of gambling companies’ profits in the UK come from the top 10% of spenders who bet at least £5,639 a year.
