The world’s smallest island country: The world’s smallest island nation is Nauru, a small country located in the Central Pacific Ocean. It is also the third smallest country after the Vatican and Monaco. The island is located in the northeast of Australia and is part of the Micronesia region.
The population of the country is around 10,000 to 12,000. Unlike most countries, Nauru does not have an official capital. Government offices are located in Yaren district.
