Essex said in a statement: “We give a chapter 60aa order to stop anyone entering the region to hide anyone in EPPING.
“There is a small group of people gathered outside Bell Hotel on Friday, August 29th, and have not been reported or not seen by the officers in the region.
“During the evening, we watched a protest in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, and we believe that a group of now plans to travel to EPPING.
“The order covers the area shown on the map below and up to 24 hours. Authorization includes police colleagues at the British Transport Police.
“Vice President Glen Pavelin said:“ We will always try to facilitate peaceful protests for all groups.
“But we have the task of protecting the threat of anti-social behavior and guilt and protecting our community by people who try to hide identity steps outside the rationality of protests.
He continued: “My officers will be fair and interesting, but they will be intact when they deal with everyone who is asked to remove and reject a face cover. Everyone will not be arrested.”
