WrestleMania 42: Liv Morgan wins Women’s World Championship match over Stephanie Vaquer

LAS VEGAS – Liv Morgan and Stephanie Vaquer beat each other up for weeks. Morgan was facing a head butt backstage thanks to Vaquer.

Sometimes getting revenge on the “Greatest Stage of Them All” is the sweetest thing there is.

Morgan, with the help of Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez, defeated Vaquer to become a three-time Women’s World Champion at WrestleMania 42. Perez and Rodriguez provided the outside intervention Morgan needed to take advantage of Vaquer.

Vaquer hit a springboard crossbody while Morgan, Perez, and Rodriguez were outside the ring. However, he could only defeat Perez and Rodriguez. From there, Morgan attacked.

Morgan returned to the ring and set Vaquer up for Oblivion. He hit clean for the second time and pinned Vaquer for the win.

Morgan last won the World Women’s Championship in May 2024 at the King and Queen of the Ring. She retained this championship until January 6, 2025, but lost the belt to Rhea Ripley in her Netflix debut. An injury later sidelined Morgan, but he returned at Survivor Series: WarGames.
