Xia Brookside wins TNA Knockouts World Championship at Slammiversary

Former friends have turned into bitter rivals over the past few weeks, as Xia Brookside’s relationship with Léi Yǐng Lee has completely soured during their pursuit of the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) Knockouts World Championship.

When Lee finally won the championship, Brookside’s jealousy grew even greater. All of this led to the championship match at Slammiversary on Sunday night.

Lee set the pace early, using his agility and quickness to completely turn Brookside around. Multiple strikes combined with a dropkick kept him ahead of Brookside. He then hit a nasty German suplex followed by a thrust kick. Once they were out of the ring, Lee hit a shoulder block on Brookside.

But Brookside only needed a minute to get back into the match. He pushed Lee into the ring post, bending Lee’s left knee. He began working on the sequence to find the best opening to do some damage to the champion.

Lee was unhappy with Brookside’s sentence. Even while taking damage from Brookside’s submission hold, he wanted “more.” Nonsense conversations continued for the rest of the match. Brookside’s strikes were countered by Lee, who countered and put his opponent into his own submission maneuver.

Lee powerbombed Brookside off the turnbuckle. Brookside removed the turnbuckle, exposing the rope. He dropped Lee off the top rope. Lee went to the open field face first. Brookside pinned Darkside and pinned Lee to win the TNA Knockouts World Championship.
