In the early hours of Friday, Delhi Minister Parvesh Verma visited Delhi’s civil lines area for audit and added that there was no drop of water in the entire region and that it was not right to describe the whole situation as if it had sank to the National Capital Capital Başkent Yamuna River.
Verma said that unnecessary panic was created among citizens in the midst of heavy rainfall in the national capital in the last few days.
Speaking to journalists, Minister Parvesh Verma said, “There is no drop of water in the civilian lines area. The road level adjacent to the ring road is 8 to 10 feet and rain water is pumped. It is not right to say that Delhi was sunk into the Yamuna River.”
The Minister also stated that Delhi would visit Nigam Bodh Ghat to evaluate the situation there.
Early on Friday morning, Loha Pul’s drone images showed that the Yamuna River flows over the danger level due to continuous rainfall.
Delhi’s monastery market, Yamuna Bazaar, Vasudev Ghat and nearby settlements remained in water with an increase in the water levels of the Yamuna River. In order to pump flood juice, machines were established in the areas around Vasudev Ghat.
By predicting the possible flood, people residing in low areas were shifted to aid camps established near Mayur Vihar Faz-1 as a preventive measure.
Due to the heavy rain, the water level of Yamuna had recorded the highest 208.66 meters of all time on Wednesday.
